Staff bios

Tim Burton

Tim is an owner of AquaFlora Nurseries.  He started the company in 2001, and has been the general manager ever since.  He graduated from the University of British Columbia in genetics and cell biology, which gave him the knowledge to persue a career in tissue culture.  Combined with a love of all aquariums, it was only natural for him to start an aquatic plant tissue lab.  Click here to send Tim an email, (tim@aquafloranurseries.com).

Diane Burton

Diane is the lab manager of AquaFlora.  She has been a biologist at universities for years, and has brought her expertise to our tissue culture department.  Diane keeps all the baby plants growing and free of disease. 

Aileen Ablog

Kim Paar

Kim is a member of the tissue culture staff here at AquaFlora Nurseries.  She has kept and bred discus and angel fish for years, as well as an army of cats and dogs.
