Vesicularia ferriei "Willow Moss" has recently been launched as an aquarium moss said to have come from mainland China as the Weeping Moss. It is so named because the more mature branches of this moss hang down like the fronds of a weeping willow tree. It is similar in appearance to “Christmas Moss” with respect to the shape of its leaf but it lacks an abruptly sharp and short apex. Willow Moss is a slow grower but doesn’t have many demands on water or light conditions.  AquaFlora Nurseries is the first group of people to tissue culture this rare species worldwide.  All the plants we sell come from tissue culture.
